Yep. The only thing about Revolution that shocks me is that it is still on. I am surprised it still gets airtime, and strangely, some attention.

It actually emotionally hurts to see Giancarlo Esposito, someone capable of so much more (see Breaking Bad), sink so low as to be the only relatable character on the show despite being a villain. Granted, I don't know what he is now (I only watched through S01 E07), considering he came off as being a highly honorable villain, but either way, he can't carry that mound of stinking television crap alone, but none of the others are pulling their load.

The best thing that Revolution did was inspire dozens of articles pointing out factual inaccuracies and the writers' collectively bad pool of research. The premise had a ton of potential had they put in the work.

I agree. Louie has earned his cred as a nice guy and a "comedian's comedian," and he really proves it. He has a way of focusing on the mundane aspects of your life and then making them surreal in a way that is both hilarious and emotionally jarring. The Late Show trilogy was just an awesome storyline, too. The best part is, Louie had offers for higher budget shows, but the network would have creative control. He went with FX, because even though they offered him the smallest budget, they also gave him complete creative control, and it was the best decision for all involved.

I know how you feel. :( It's sort of sad to watching something you love die. I really hope the rest of season 4 picks up and becomes something more true to the Harmon vision. It can't be easy on the new guys right now. Did you check out my review at ilikeweirdstuff.com?

I avoided this show like the plague for two years before forced by a friend to watch it. Everyone I know ranted about it and said it was brilliant. I watched it and realized that it was honestly the most amazing thing ever. I never realized it would be possible to create a TV show that could double as an emetic (if you don't know what it is look it up. You don't even have to type it in just; copy and paste into google). It is the worst kind of drivle imaginable and could almost be consider a violation of my Eighth Amendment rights.

I've thought a lot about remakes in general. Remaking, providing a song, movie, etc. for a new audience, I believe can be done. The newest King Kong is a good example, one which I thought was awesome, as did my dad, a true fan of "classic monster movies". Aerosmith did an awesome job on their version of Come Together. But I agree that the current writers and artists, for the most part, have little regard for the art they may want to reproduce. Speaking as someone who hasn't been in the position to "sell out", but also realizing that isn't just a social construct, that art deserves as much respect as scientific research: I think it takes care and consideration which Glee doesn't seem to display.
